‘All for Izzy' Fundraiser Sunday

This Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Hamlin, it's "All for Izzy." That's three-year-old Isabelle Tufano, and the all is a big fundraiser Sunday beginning at 12 noon to help her parents cover medical and other expenses.

Izzy has been diagnosed with pre-cancerous condition that requires a bone marrow transplant, says her mom, Jennifer Tufano.

"The younger sister, 20-month-old Genevieve, had a test to see if she could be the bone marrow donor and we got the call two days ago that she is a match," she said. "Monday we go for one-more round of blood work, and because it's so close to holiday and everything, so she's on a shot that stimulates the bone marrow to keep her functioning until we can do the transplant."

That's going keep Isabelle in the hospital for six weeks, her mother out of work and her father busy caring for her two siblings.

That's why family, friends, neighbors and their Church congregation planned Sunday's event featuring a barbecue, bake sale, Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle. There will also be a bounce house for the kids and face painting.
